Discover a scenic 7 km running route through the heart of Samarkand. Our “Just” city running tours are designed to offer you more than a simple workout: they invite you to experience the historical wonders of Samarkand at a pace that allows you to take in the sights along the way.
Meet your running guide in front of the Mercure Samarkand Hotel and set off on a truly unique run. The route begins along Samarkand’s University Boulevard, a landmark of the Russian colonial period, lined with historic buildings from that era.
You’ll then head towards the medieval heart of Samarkand, weaving through the narrow streets of the old town. The route continues past the Bibi-Khanum Mosque, built in the 15th century, where you’ll enjoy an impressive view of its monumental gate.
Running along the vibrant pedestrian street, you’ll gradually make your way to the iconic Registan Square where your run will conclude.
Please note that this “Just” run is not a training session, but an actual run designed to combine running with cultural exploration. Throughout the run, your running guide will share stories about the city, its history, landmarks and the architectural styles you encounter along the way.
So, lace up your running shoes and come run with us!
