Embark on an unforgettable journey through Uzbekistan’s breathtaking mountain ranges – true natural gems along the legendary Silk Road. This adventure takes you through three distinct mountain ranges across different regions of the country.
Expect moderately challenging walks lasting from 4 to 7 hours a day, with elevation gains of 500 to 700 metres. Your journey begins in the majestic Tian Shan range, often called the Mountains of Heaven, a remote and pristine region untouched by mass tourism.
Next, immerse yourself in the rich millennia-old culture of Samarkand before hiking through the Zerafshan mountain range, located south of this iconic city. The third leg of your adventure leads you to the Nuratau Mountains, where you’ll not only marvel at stunning landscapes but also meet the friendly villagers living along your route.
A magical overnight stay in a traditional yurt beneath the starry desert sky will mark the end of your sporting adventure in Uzbekistan. But the journey doesn’t end here! The wonders of Bukhara and Khiva, two unmissable gems of the Silk Road, await to make your stay in Uzbekistan truly unforgettable.
